In May 2008, Daniel Marinelli completed his MFA degree in sculpture from East Tennessee State University. During the past three years, he has been utilizing the inherent qualities of his materials – wood, paper, and fabricated and machined steel — in both his two- and three-dimensional creations. He continues to work both in his studio in Johnson City and at a machine shop in Bristol, Tennessee. Currently, he is also an adjunct instructor at ETSU in Johnson City, where he lives with his lovely wife and newborn daughter.

Daniel will be showing his latest body of work at an emerging artists group show at the Blue Spiral 1 Gallery in Asheville, NC in January and February, 2009.
